Light moves through this large Murano centrepiece as though it were liquid — the sweeping aqua and teal spiral, suspended in warm-tinted clear glass, shifts from sea-green to sky-blue depending on where you stand.

DESCRIPTION:

An ideal piece for collectors of Italian art glass, interior designers seeking a dramatic centrepiece, or film and TV prop buyers sourcing large-scale decorative glass for period or contemporary set dressing.

A large hand-blown Murano glass centrepiece bowl in the a fascia tradition — spiralling bands of aqua and teal glass are fused within warm yellow-tinted clear glass, creating a subtly iridescent surface that catches and refracts light across the room. The shallow, wide form maximises the visual impact of the spiral pattern. Original "Made in Murano Italy" label present to the underside. Maker unknown; consistent with Murano production of the 1970s. Each piece produced in this tradition is unique — no two are identical.

Ø 40cm × H 8cm (Ø 15.7" × H 3.1")

CONDITION: In very good vintage condition. No cracks, no chips, no repairs. Original Murano label present and intact. Minor surface wear consistent with age only.

Photographs form part of this description. Please review all images carefully as they document the piece's condition in full detail.

CURATOR'S NOTE: Selected for its exceptional scale and the quiet drama of its colour — a piece that requires nothing around it to make its presence felt. Equally at home as a dining table centrepiece, a mantelpiece statement, or a collector's display piece.
